:D
But I still enjoyed it sososo MUCH.
But when I first saw the squat toilets, I was like, "GAKKKKK."
But I survived! XD
DAY ONE
Group Five and Six (GY peeps) earned bonus points by tucking in our shirts the fastest out of all three classes!
^^
LOLs.
My group's name was Chanel.
We added the "Number Five" part due to our group number. XD
Then we moved floorboards to this field.
And we started to pitch tents.
I must add that at this point, dark, grey clouds started to drift across the sky.
So while we were happily banging away at the things you drive into the ground to keep the tent up, little droplets of water started to fall upon us.
And by the time lunch was ready, it was raining full out.
DAMN.
And because of the stupid rain, we missed abseling and rock-climbing.
>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>:(
DAMMIT, YOU STUPID RAINNNNNN.
Instead, we had fun making up cheers in the covered area, and challenging SY and SE to cheer-offs. Also had belay/billay school! :D Shameera had to hold onto Borat's (nickname for Group 6's trainer), and
We eventually ventured out into the rain sometime after lunch to the Milo Pond (read: hole where all the dirty water goes) to sit in inner tubes to cross the pond, while figuring out how to get all the GEEWHYs across with only four life jackets.
Oh, and we got soaking wet.
Everyone looked as if they had gone into a shower turned on full blast with their clothes on, and Chaisy even poured the entire contents of her bottle on Nadia!
LOLs.
Then I changed (no WAY was I going to shower in full view of everyone) in the cubicle (the squat toilets-- EURGH!) and squelched my way to the tent I shared with AT, Ris, Lil Sis, Natalie, Joanna and Wern Ching.
DAY TWO
The day begun early.
VERY early.
As in 2AM early.
Everyone but Wern Ching woke up, then went back to sleep.
Then at 3AM, I woke up again, this time with only Natalie and Jo:
Me: What time is it?
Jo: Erm... *checks watch* 3.15.
Me: OO
Natalie: I need to go to the toilet.
So we all went out into the rain and squished up the slippery, muddy slope, and came back.
Then we woke up at FIVE.
I mean, GODDDDDD.
I SLEPT AT ONE, AND WOKE UP LIKE THREE BLODY TIMES!!!
And it didn't help that condensation occured in the inside of our tent, and the water kept hitting my sleeping bag and making it wet.
PFT.
~
Rained all day, too. Had to wear shorts inside track pants. So uncomfortable. -.-
We did ABSELING first, but I didn't get to do it (phew), cos there wasn't enough time.
Then we went to CHALLENGE VALLEY and we all went through this tunnel made out of tyres. It was DIRTY, it was WET, it was FUN. LOLs. And my butt got stuck. -.- But several people got through the tunnel easily, "like a javelin", as quoted by Nadia, javelin-throwing champion. (:
Some of the others went on a slide into the Milo Pond as well, but remembering what went into the pond, I refused to go in.
After that, we went to the seaside to compete with group 6 to see who could build a better raft out of tyres, wooden poles and rope. We had a tie! :D LOLs. But ours was more "aesthetically pleasing"!
Then we went... KAYAKING!!! Stupid Tammy abandoned me and I partnered Claudia instead. We kept going off course and laughed like sh*t. LOL. The whole of GY covered a massive area, and we even saw the military camp on Malaysia!
Lauren also made up a song, getting inspiration from the water flowing out of her shoes ("I have a river in my shoe!").
But a lot of people got cuts and stuff on the rock, and while we were doing ou boyouncy test, Elle peed in the sea!!!!! :O
After that, we changed back into track pants (with our WET SHORTS INSIDE) and trudged to the HANGOUT, where we belayed and went on the low/high elements. I was damn scared, due to my phobia of heights, especially when Mrs De asked me to WALK BACKWARDS, but I managed it!(:
Yayye.
But you should have seen Jephine; she didn't even need to hold on to the rope, and didn't wobble at all.
Damn. We should all take up fencing!
~
After that, we went to shower, and while I was helping Angie change, some crazy trainer came into the girls' toilet and threw a piece of watermelon skin poor Joy. Then the trainer went, "Haiyoh, girl, what that weird look for?" (Joy was wearing a look which obviously said, "WTH"). "Help me throw away, hor!"
Then the trainer walked away while laughing crazily.
oO
SICK, I tell you.
Sick.
~
After dinner, we haad CAMPFIREEEE.
We performed our "SSSSS, IT'S HOT IN HERE!", "EVERYBODY DANCE NOW" (with a pail), "LOVE" and our bimbo cheer.
Haha, campfire was really, really fun. :D
Too bad it had to end...
And then some trainers came over to us and dumped water on Botak's head, splashing the front row in the process.
(Thank goodness I chose the last row to sit in! :D)
That night, we slept in the SAI building. Cleaner and cooler than the tent we pitched! (:
But I still missed it.
DAY THREE
Woke up at five and mistook it for six; woke up AT and Shams, told them it was six.
Found out it was five.
AT and Shams glared at me, and went back to sleep.
-.-
I managed to persuade AT to wake up, and we went down to get our clothes and change.
At 7AM, we removed the tents' floorboards, cleaned them up, then ate breakfast.
Soon, we waved goodbye to Sarimbun camp from the inside of a bus, singing songs all the while.
When we arrived at Kallang, we went DRAGON-BOATING!!!
Whee. (:
Chanel No. 5 came in second for one of the races!!! Oooh, yeahhh.
Before going back, though, they told us to sit on the sides of the boat. oO
I didn't want to, but we had to lah, and when we did, there was much screaming from both sides as the boat rocked and rocked and rocked.
It was sad finishing up the last activity, but Lesley and I were like, "WTBH" when we had to lug our heavy bags all the way to the nearby stadium.
When we reached there, we were so happy and gobbled down our lunch, but still being hungry, L&I went to the cafeteria and blew
~
I suppose that's it. All we did after that was go back to school, do one final round of cheers, sing "LAUREN HAS A RIVER IN HER SHOE", and did Lynn's cheer:
Lynn: I say Borat you say Botak! Borat!
Us:Botak!
Lynn:Borat!
Us:Botak!
And vice versa...
We also had prize-giving, and while Chanel No. 5 didn't win anything, at least our GY counterpart won one of the "Best Groups" award! :DDDDDDDDDDD
Good God.
No more "SC OIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII!" "OIIIIIII!"s.
No more "GIVE ME ONE SISSY CLAP!" "*clap* Haiyahhhhh!"s.
No more "REPEAT AFTER ME!"s.
If it wasn't for the toilets, mud, rain and blisters, I'd love to go back to Sarimbun Camp.
Like now.
